All About Mrs. Ford!

Hello! My name is Leah Ford and this is my first year teaching first grade! I graduated from Millersville University in December, 2022. I started my teaching career at North-Hopewell Winterstown, in January, as a long-term substitute Kindergarten teacher. I then found myself in a first grade teaching position and I am grateful for this new opportunity. First grade is a grade that I am passionate to teach because of the vast curiosity that the students have. They are starting that transition from learning to read to reading to learn, and they will start to flourish with knowledge as they discover all of the materials available to them! 

 

A few fun facts about myself is that I just got married in March to my high school sweetheart! We have been together for almost six years, and are enjoying our lives together. My husband is also into wood working and has built a few of the furniture pieces found in my classroom! 

Another fact about me is that I drink iced coffee every morning- even in the colder months! 

My favorite fast food restaurant is Chick-fil-a, and my favorite dine-in restaurant is Chilies'.

My favorite colors are light shades of blue and shades of purple!
