Mr. Overmiller

Education/Teaching Experience: Mr. Overmiller is entering his 22nd year of teaching. He began his career in 2002 as a fifth grade teacher at the Lincoln-Edison Charter School in York. During the 2003-2004 school year, he served the Dover Area School District as a seventh and eighth grade Support Teacher for students at the Intermediate School. For the next four years, he was a fourth grade teacher in the South Eastern School District at Stewartstown Elementary. In 2008, he came to the Red Lion Area School District, where he first served as a fourth grade classroom teacher at Windsor Manor Elementary School. From 2009 through 2012, he taught sixth grade at Windsor Manor. Since 2012, he has been a fifth grade classroom teacher at Pleasant View Elementary School.
 
Mr. Overmiller is a 2009 graduate of Millersville University, earning his Masters Degree of Education in Sport Management. His undergraduate degree and teaching certificate were acquired in 2001 from The Pennsylvania State University - Harrisburg Campus. He is also a 1997 graduate of Dallastown Area High School.
Family: Mr. Overmiller and his wife, Michelle, and have been married seventeen years. They have two daughters (Addison, 9 and Emily, 6).
Interests: Mr. Overmiller is an avid sports fan, in particular basketball. When not spending time with his family, he is often coaching, officiating, playing, or watching basketball. He also enjoys politics, reading, and travel.
