Get to know Mrs. Collins

Mrs. Tracy Collins is the School Counselor at Pleasant View Elementary School.  She was born and raised in North Eastern Pennsylvania. After graduating high school she moved to the York area where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from York College of Pennsylvania.  She earned a Master's Degree in Science, with a concentration in School Counseling, from McDaniel College and completed her practicum at Chanceford Elementary School in 2004. She has been working at Pleasant View Elementary School since 2006. Mrs. Collins works with all students through classroom lessons and select students through small group and individual sessions.

Mrs. Collins' mission is to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the school community to support and help all students work to their potential.  She also works to help students develop skills in the areas of academic, social/personal, and career so that students become productive and healthy adults.

On a personal level, when Mrs. Collins is not in school she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter.  Her daughter is starting her Sophomore year of college and her son is in tenth grade attending York Vo Tech.  They are both involved in sports, which Mrs. Collins loves to watch.
