All About Mrs. Nemshick

 5th Grade with Mrs. Nemshick

Hello Pleasant View students and parents!  Iā€™m looking forward to another great year during this 2017-2018 academic year.  During this school year I will be educating the students in the areas of writing, word work, and science.

Currently, this is my 12th year teaching at Pleasant View Elementary School.  During my tenure with Pleasant View, I have only taught fifth graders.  I certainly have developed experience over the years and have a passion for working with students in this age group.

Even though I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, I relocated to the York area 13 years ago and have really developed a love for this area.  I reside here with my husband, and two children, Ella and Evan.

Student Created Science Assessment

  • Students are creating an assessment to demonstrate what they've learned about gravitational pull and how it affects the motion of objects in the solar system.
  • It is due: Friday, 9/22/17
  • They can create a test, power point, brochure, board game, newspaper article, an interview, poster, or anything else.
  • They must include a rubric that is worth 20 points.I provided a link on Google Classroom. If they create a test, it must be worth 20 points. They will create and set the score value for their project.
  • They will be working on them in class, but they are welcome to work on it at home as well.
  • They need to include information from each area that we discussed and took notes on.
  • I want them to have fun with this and be creative!
