All About Mrs. Nemshick
Hello, Pleasant View Students and Families!
I am so excited to welcome you to another wonderful school year at Pleasant View Elementary School! I am looking forward to a fantastic 2026–2027 school year and all of the learning, growing, and fun that it will bring. This year, I will be teaching Writing and Science, and I can't wait to learn alongside my students and help them discover their strengths and build confidence as learners.
This school year marks my 21st year teaching at Pleasant View Elementary School! During all of my years at Pleasant View, I have had the privilege of teaching fifth grade. Over the years, I have gained a great deal of experience working with fifth graders, but more importantly, I have developed a true passion for teaching students at this age. Fifth grade is such an exciting time as students become more independent, discover new interests, and prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey. I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent so many years as part of the Pleasant View family and look forward to continuing that journey with another amazing group of fifth graders!
Although I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, I moved to the York area 22 years ago and have truly grown to love this community. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I live here with my husband, Ryan, and our two children, Ella and Evan. My family means so much to me, and I love making memories together and watching my children grow.
After 21 years at Pleasant View, I continue to feel grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful students and families. I believe that students learn best when they feel safe, supported, encouraged, and valued. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, learning from their mistakes, and celebrating their successes.
I can't wait to see what this new school year has in store! Here's to a great 2026–2027 school year!
