Meet Your Teacher

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Burton and I am thrilled to be your Fifth  Grade Reading and Social Studies teacher J

It’s going to be a year full of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.  I want to know ALL about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.

I was born and raised in Greensburg, which is near Pittsburgh.  I have an older sister, Tracy.  She has two children, my nephew and niece Logan and Issy. When I graduated High school I moved to York to attend York College.  I majored in Elementary Education and later received my Master’s Degree in Education from Penn State-York.

I student taught in Kindergarten, here at PV.  I was so excited to then get my First Grade position.  I taught First Grade for 20 years and this is my second year in Fifth Grade. I am married to my wonderful husband, Josh.  We have two French Bulldogs, Iola & Jack.  They are our babies and we love them very much!  I am so excited to be your teacher this year!
