Meet Mrs. Weber
Welcome to our fourth-grade classroom! I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting year in your child’s educational journey. Fourth grade brings a big milestone—this will be the first year your child will begin switching classrooms, and I’m here to help make that transition smooth, positive, and enriching.
I have the pleasure of teaching Writing and Science to all fourth-grade students. In Writing, your child will engage in creative and meaningful expression through narrative, informational, and persuasive writing. These experiences are designed to build confidence, strengthen skills, and develop a love of writing.
In Science, we follow the STEELS standards, exploring the natural world through observation, experimentation, and collaboration. My classroom emphasizes student inquiry and a "Driving Questions Board" to spark curiosity and promote critical thinking.
My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that all students can learn when they are actively engaged and feel connected to their learning. I strive to create an environment where students feel supported, inspired, and empowered to explore their interests. I look forward to a fantastic year of growth, discovery, and success.
About Me
I graduated from York College and began my teaching career in 2014 with the Red Lion Area School District, starting at Locust Grove Elementary as a fourth-grade Writing and Science teacher. A few years later, I transitioned to teaching second grade at Locust Grove before transferring to Pleasant View Elementary, where I continued in the second-grade classroom.
In 2024, I returned to my roots, teaching Writing and Science in fourth grade, which is a role I truly enjoy and feel passionate about. I’m excited to be back working with this age group and subject area, helping students grow as writers, thinkers, and curious learners.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two energetic boys, Caleb and Owen, who definitely keep us on our toes!
I’m truly looking forward to getting to know your child and partnering with you to support their growth and success this year. It’s going to be a fantastic year of learning, exploration, and connection!
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Weber
