All About Miss Weidler
Welcome to our class! I am thrilled that you are here and I’m so excited to work with you and your child this year! It’s going to be a fun year filled with learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little about me.
I was born and raised on Long Island (NY). My family is so important to me and I miss them all the time! I have one sibling, my little sister Julie, and I don't know what I would do without her! Julie is in grad school studying Physical Therapy back home in New York. Today I live happily in York with my high school sweetheart, Jim! In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends, making crafts I find on Pinterest, going to the beach, reading, exercising, and especially shopping!
When I graduated from high school I decided to attend York College of Pennsylvania. I was a cheerleader all throughout my high school and college career so I have plenty of energy and tons of school spirit! I graduated with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Before coming to Pleasant View I was an Emotional Support teacher for 4th through 6th grade students at Mazie Gable. This is my third year teaching first grade and I absolutely love it! I am currently attending Wilkes University as a graduate student to obtain my Master’s Degree in Education. I have always had a strong passion for learning, and I hope to share it with my students so that they can develop the desire to become lifelong learners.
I’m really looking forward to our journey in first grade this year. I believe it’s very important that we work together to ensure success for our students, so please don’t ever hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Here’s to a great school year!
